Leg-spinner Adam Jampa returned to Australia on Monday, leaving Royal Challengers Bangalore in the middle of IPL 2021. He said that leaving the bio-bubble in India does not feel as safe as it used to be during the IPL 2020 in the UAE.
Adam Jampa has cited several reasons for which he has decided to leave the Indian Premier League.
The 29-year-old spinner said that it would have been better had IPL 2021 also played in the UAE. He said that since the tournament is being played in India, he is scared more.
He said, ‘I believe that since this tournament is happening in India right now, we are told to always maintain hygiene and more security here. This is what I find most strange. The IPL that took place in Dubai six months ago, was not so. I think he was much safer. Personally, I am of the opinion that this time also there was an idea to get the IPL done there, but there are many times politics in it too.
Zampa also raised questions about the T20 World Cup to be held in India at the end of this year. He said, ‘Of course, T20 World is to be held here at the end of this year. The next big decision in the cricket world is to be made on this. Six months is a big time.
