The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has sacked its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lutfullah Stanikzai for 'mismanagement, unsatisfactory performance and mistreatment of managers'. Stanikzai had a three-year contract with ACB.
He was appointed in July last year after a poor performance in Afghanistan's 50-over World Cup. Afghanistan's team could not win a single match in the World Cup.
ACB Chairman Farhan Yusufzai said in a letter sent to Stanikzai, “This letter confirms that your contract as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Afghanistan Cricket Board has been terminated.” Your last day at ACB is 29 July 2020. '
“The reason for terminating your contract is mismanagement, unsatisfactory performance and misbehavior with managers,” he said. The ACB said in a statement that Stanikzai had been given oral and written warnings earlier.
