The past few weeks have seen an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases. While the government has implemented several restrictions to combat further spread of the virus, Bollywood celebs are requesting their fans to follow social distancing as a precaution and wear masks. Actor Amit Sadh has decided to go offline amid a spike in coronovirus cases. He gave a long note on social media to emphasize the importance of helping people and not to turn a blind eye to them, especially during the epidemic.
The ‘Kai Po Che’ star said he would not post quotes, pictures or reels on Instagram because he did not want to show his ‘privileged’ life on social media. He promised to stay in touch with fans via direct messages if ‘a conversation is required’.
“Recent events made me reflect on whether I should post my pictures and reels. Especially when my city is under harsh COVID-19 restrictions in Mumbai and across the state, the entire country is a tough one. Time is passing. I believe I am in my positions. The reels of gym sessions, the silly things I do, will not fix or entertain anyone. This is not a criticism of anyone, I personally. The best way to be sensitive about a situation I feel is to pray and expect things to get better. ”Wrote Sadh.
