The BAFTA Breakthrough India initiative marks the arrival of BAFTA in India. For the first time, the initiative in support of Netflix aims to identify, celebrate and support the five extraordinary talents working in film, sports or television in India.
Winners selected by the jury will receive a one-year program of support from BAFTA with connections to the British creative industries. They will be provided opportunities to share their expertise with their British peers and learn from experts. Winners will also be provided with promotions as talent to look to the future in India and the UK, and access to opportunities and support in both the UK and India.
According to the official social media handle of BAFTA, the final list of honors will be announced in early May 2021.
