England fast bowler Jofra Archer will miss the second Test against India starting on Saturday due to an elbow injury. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement released on Thursday, “Joffra Archer will not play in the second Test match against India due to right elbow pain in Chennai starting on Saturday.” He was feeling uneasy during the first Test at this place.
The ECB said – This match was won by England by 227 runs. The Barbados-born pacer was expected to be rested during the series due to England’s rotation policy. The ECB clarified that this fast bowler did not get hurt due to any previous problem.

“This matter is not related to any previous injury and it is expected that the treatment will soon normalize and the pacer will be able to return to the third Test match in Ahmedabad,” the board said.
Veteran Stuart Broad is set to be picked in the playing eleven alongside James Anderson after Archer’s exit. England lead the four-match series 1–0 after winning the first Test.
