Armaan Jain reached ED office for investigation in money laundering case

Bollywood actor Armaan Jain appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the alleged money laundering case on Wednesday (17 February). The law enforcement agency had summoned Jain several times, but he did not show up. Last week, the ED issued a fresh summons to the actor after he did not appear before the authorities for investigation into the money laundering case.

According to an IANS report, the agency had searched the house of Armaan Jain in Mumbai on February 9 as part of its investigation into the money laundering case under a search operation. The ED discovered Jain’s uncle Rajiv Kapoor on the same day. This allowed Armaan and his mother Reema Jain to attend the funeral after conducting the searches.

Sources in the ED told the news agency that the discovery was made after meeting some chats shared between Vihang and Armaan Jain, son of Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik. We were discovered by the agency in November 2020 at the house of the MLA and his son. The ED also summoned Pratap Sarnaik to appear before the authorities.

In October 2020, a complaint was filed in Mumbai against a major security services provider Topsgroup. An officer of the same group alleged that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority was snatched from Rs 175 crore.

The ED arrested Amy Chandole, a close aide of Pratap Sarnaik, as part of his investigation into the case. It also quipped on Sarnaik’s brother-in-law Yogesh Chandela in the case.
