The three-day day-night practice match played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (ACCG) between India and Australia-A ended the draw on the final day. India had given Australia-A a target of 473 runs and seemed to be able to get the win but Jack Wildermuth’s unbeaten 111 and Ben McDermott’s unbeaten 107 notched up Indian hopes.
Australia-A lost their three wickets for 25 runs after playing their second innings on Sunday on the third day. Marcus Harris (5), Joe Burns (1) and Nick Madison (14) all return to the Pavilion. Ben then scored the innings with Alex Carrie (58). Carrie, however, was dismissed for a total of 142 runs.

After this, Ben and Jack did not let any more blow and drew the match after sharing 165 runs. By the end of the third day’s play, Australia-A scored 307 runs losing four wickets.
Jack faced 12 balls and hit 12 fours and three sixes. Ben faced 167 balls in his innings and hit 16 fours. India had scored 194 runs in the first innings and piled Australia-A for 108 runs. India then declared an innings of 386 for four with the help of Hanuma Vihari’s unbeaten 104 and Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 103 runs.
