AUS vs IND: The demand for tickets for the Test in which Virat Kohli will play increased

Sydney
The demand for tickets for the first Test match of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia has increased. This first Test match of the series will be of day-night format and will be played at Adelaide Oval. This is the only Test match in which Virat Kohli will play. After the first Test, Kohli will return home for the birth of his first child.

Melbourne-based cafe owner Angad Singh Oberoi, who runs the Indian cricket team’s fan group Swami Army, is distributing tickets and the demand for tickets in the group is high for the first Test match.

The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Oberoi as saying, ‘There is a lot of interest in the day-night test match because we are getting a lot of demand for tickets. So the demand is definitely there, but the thing is that all the logistics and ticketing work can be done simultaneously. He said, ‘We are discussing with Cricket Australia about the numbers. He has looked a little too positive, the number can go beyond 25,000, but who knows? ‘

Oberoi also cited traffic restrictions due to the Kovid-19. He said, ‘We started with a few hundred to see what happens. It is obvious that little agreement has been made between the states and countries with the restrictions on sanctions. ‘

Kohli will return home after playing the first Test and will not participate in the remaining three Tests. The first Test match will be played at the Adelaide Oval from 17 to 21 December. For this match, half the number of stadiums, ie 27,000 fans, has been approved to come to the stadium.
