Axar Patel ruled out of first test: Akshar Patel, who was making a debut for India, was out because of this

Just before the first Test against England, the Indian team has suffered a major setback. All-rounder Akshar Patel has been ruled out of the first Test. The Board of Control for Cricket in India reported this shortly before the match. Apart from this, Shahbaz Nadeem and Rahul Chahar have been added to the team. Both of them will practice with the team as a standby.

It was believed that Akshar would make his Test debut against England today. Earlier, the captain had said that he would continue to support the bowling all-rounders which has been the key to the team’s success in domestic conditions. Kohli also said that if Ravindra Jadeja’s absence is noticed, Akshar fits in his place.

He said, ‘The reason for this is that we want a player whose skill is like Jadeja, Akshar brings the same thing in all the three departments of the game. Jaddu (Jadeja) is not available, so Akshar will get priority because he brings the same kind of skill on the field.
