West Indies bowled Bangladesh for 213 on the fourth day of the second Test to win the match by 17 runs thanks to the superb bowling of off-spinner Rakheem Cornwell (105/4). With this, the Windies made a clean sweep 2–0 in the two-match Test series. After being all out for 117 runs in the second innings, the West Indies gave Bangladesh a target of 231 runs to win, in response to which Bangladesh were all out for 213 runs in the second innings and faced the embarrassment of a clean sweep at home. Bangladesh’s second innings opener Tamim Iqbal scored the most 50 runs. For West Indies, Cornwell took four wickets for 105 runs, Jomel Wariken took three wickets for 47 runs and captain Craig Brathwaite took three wickets for 25 runs. In the Bangladesh innings, apart from Iqbal, no other batsman could play a big innings. In the end, however, Mehdi Hassan tried very hard to give the team victory in a quick innings but could not succeed. Bangladesh batsmen failed to form an even larger partnership.
Apart from Iqbal from Bangladesh, Hasan scored 31 off 56 balls with three fours and two sixes, captain Mominul Haque 26, wicketkeeper batsman Litton Das 22, Mushfiqur Rahman 14 and Naeem Hasan scored 14 runs. Earlier, West Indies beat Bangladesh by three wickets in the first Test match played in Chittagong and took a 1-0 lead in the series.
