Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is the only operator in the Indian telecom market that has not increased the prices of its prepaid plans. All the other operators have made their prepaid plans 40 percent more expensive. BSNL The company has not raised the prices of its plans but the company is reducing the validity of its plans to compete with the rest of the operators. In the recent past, instead of increasing the price of many plans, the company has reduced their validity.
Reduced validity of these three plans
BSNL has reduced the validity of its Rs 75 and Rs 74 plans. The plans of Rs 75 and Rs 74 used to get validity of 180 days earlier. Now these plans get 90 days validity.
Revise plan of Rs 153
In this plan, earlier users used to get unlimited voice calling across the country including Delhi and Mumbai. With this, users used to get 1.5GB of data. Now the company has revised this plan. After revision, the company is now offering only 1GB daily data in this plan. The overall validity of the plan has been reduced to 90 days, which was 180 days earlier.
Validity of these plans has also decreased
Earlier, BSNL had reduced the validity of its two prepaid plans of Rs 29 and Rs 47. Also, the company discontinued three STVs (Special Tariff Vouchers) of Rs 7, 9 and 192. BSNL’s Rs 29 plan was one of the best weekly plans. But now the company has reduced its validity to just 5 days. Reports said that in view of the recent tariff changes, BSNL is also working on new plans which can be launched soon.
Validity of plans of ₹ 186 and ₹ 187 also decreased
These plans provide 250 minutes of calling and 100 SMS daily with 3GB of data. Now the validity of this plan has been reduced to 24 days. While in other circles, the validity of this plan is 28 days.
