The complainant has dropped a tweet shared on 3 December by the actor, which captioned the photo taken during the recent assembly elections in Bihar, “New star in tukde tukde gang”.
Labels such as “jihadis”, “urban Naxalites” and “Lutyens liberals” were placed on the thumbnails of the leaders found in the picture. An article placed on Kushwaha read “Azad Kashmir”.
Singh alleged in his complaint that a Kushwaha Kushwaha drew the attention of the Bihar Police, Mumbai Police and Maharashtra DGP towards the objectionable tweet, but no action was initiated against him.
He claimed, “When RLSP supporters visited the concerned police station to register an FIR, they were asked to knock the door of the court. Hence, in this petition”.
Singh, along with senior party leaders including National General Secretary Fazal Imam, filed a complaint under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and IT Act.
