According to sources close to the CBI probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the agency has completed its investigation and is likely to submit its closure report to the CBI court in Patna in the next few days.
According to a report by zenews.com, sources close to the premier investigative agency said on Wednesday (October 14, 2020) that the agency had completed its investigation.
According to sources, the CBI has so far denied any conspiracy or hooliganism, however, the court may decide further action in the charges against Riya Chakraborty, Rajput’s girlfriend.
Sushant was found dead in his apartment on 14 June. The Mumbai Police initially investigated the matter and announced that the actor had committed suicide. The case has since been taken up by the CBI, which includes the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Enforcement Directorate.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at four locations linked to filmmaker Dinesh Vijan in connection with an investigation into the money laundering angle in Rajput’s death.
He was questioned by the ED along with several people including Chakraborty, his brother Shovik and father Indrajit.
Meanwhile, during Wednesday, fans of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput continue to speculate as to why his sister Shweta Singh Kirti has deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts. While Shweta temporarily disabled her unverified Twitter and verified Instagram accounts, she was later reinstated.
The late actor’s California-based sister also offered a statement shared on Twitter apologizing to Sushant’s fans.
She wrote: “Sorry, there were many logs in my attempts on social media accounts so that they had to be deactivated.”
