Telecom company Reliance Jio has a subscriber base of over 400 million. The company disclosed this information during the announcement of second-quarter profit. It is worth noting that Reliance Jio has recently launched new postpaid plans to compete with Vodafone Idea. Reliance Jio has become the first company in the world to create more than 400 million subscribers in a single country.
According to Reliance Jio, the company currently has a user base of 40.56 crores. The company gained 13.96 per cent over the same quarter last year. The company had a subscriber base of 35.59 crore in the same quarter in 2019. The telecom company added 7 million new subscribers in the September quarter. However, in the quarter ending in June, the company had added around 9 million new customers.

Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Ltd, said in a statement, “We have welcomed many strategic and financial investors in Reliance Family, with huge capital gains in the last 6 months in Jio and retail businesses.”
The average revenue per user of telecom giant Jio increased to Rs 145 per month. It was Rs 140.30 in the previous quarter. The average revenue of the user (ARPU) telecom operator on average revenue is deducted from the users on its network by device.

Let us know that earlier in September, Reliance Jio launched a new postpaid service Jio Postpaid Plus. These postpaid plans offer features such as international calling, roaming benefits, Netflix and Amazon Prime video. For the first time, Jio has also made in-flight connectivity in Indian airspace with these plans. The price of Jio Postpaid Plus starts from Rs 399 to Rs 1,499.
