A new smart air conditioner has been launched on Tuesday by Chinese technology brand Xiaomi. Its two variants have been launched on the basis of power load capacity and both have better performance than the energy efficiency standards of the industry. Both models of Smart AC are priced at 2,299 yuan (about Rs 23,500) and 2,699 yuan (about Rs 27,500) in China. According to the official listing, two models of Xiaomi Smartmi Air Conditioner A come with 1 ton and 1.5 ton capacity. The key selling point of this home appliance is to be energy-efficient. The ACF (Annual Performance Factor) value of AC launched by a Chinese tech company is as high as 4.65, which is even better than the current Chinese power efficiency standards 4.5. Higher APF value means more energy efficient of a device, that is, they use less energy.
Savings from conversion motor
This product of Xiaomi, launched in China, has been placed in Energy Efficiency (Energy Saving) 1 Level category and this has been possible due to the new DC frequency conversion motor. Let us tell you, in the new law made by the Chinese government, the energy efficiency standards for air conditioners are being strictly followed since July 1, 2019. After its official implementation, now new laws and international benchmarks in the US are going to be similar.
Control with voice commands
Xiaomi’s new air conditioner saves up to 20 percent of energy compared to the rest of the Class 3 Efficiency ACs. Also, the new home appliance is also a smart product. It also supports voice commands from users with the help of Xiaomi AI, and changing the temperature to turn on or off the AC can only be done by giving voice commands.
