Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has praised Ollie Op (Ollie Pope) for shaping England's first innings in the third Test. He feels that Pope's batting is similar to Ian Bell. Tendinkar (Sachin Tendulkar) tweeted, 'Looking at the third Test match, it seems that Pope's batting is influenced by Bell. His stance and footwork exactly match Ian Bell. '
Bell has played 118 Test matches for England and scored 7727 runs, including 22 centuries. He is part of the England team that has won three Ashes series and is the third England player to do so. Bell has also played 161 ODIs for England.
He retired from cricket in 2015. Tendulkar's comments on the pope came after his innings played on the first day of the third Test against West Indies at Old Trafford. England, batting first, lost four wickets for 122 runs.
From here, Pope and Jose Butler handled the innings and did not let the team get any more blow until the end of the day's play. England ended the day with 258 runs at the loss of four wickets. Pope 91 and Butler returned unbeaten after scoring 56 runs.
