Mumbai: 2021 began on an uncontrolled note for Bollywood actor Sonu Sood as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a notice against him accusing him of converting his residential building into a hotel without permission. The ‘Dabangg’ star, who emerged as a ‘messiah’ for migrant workers in 2020, moved the High Court to challenge the BMC notice. Sonu, who maintained silence on the matter, has finally reacted to his legal dispute with BMC. The ‘Simmba’ actor, speaking exclusively to ABP News, opened up about the controversy.

When asked to comment on the matter, Sood said, “I respect BMC, who have made our Mumbai ‘wonderful’. I have followed all the rules on my behalf and if improved If there is scope, I will try to fix it. I have filed a petition for the case in court. I will faithfully follow the instructions given by the court and follow the same path. I will follow all the laws and rules. . “
In an affidavit filed in response to Sood’s plea, BMC called the Bollywood star an ‘habitual criminal’ and said that it took initial action against him, but that development work continued. When we asked him to comment on the allegations, Sonu said, “As I have mentioned earlier, the matter is in court and I will follow all the rules as per his guidance. There is nothing above the court.” I have always followed. Honored the rules and will continue to do so. “
Sonu Sood met NCP Chief Sharad Pawar with BMC on Wednesday. We questioned the actor whether his meeting with the legendary leader had anything to do with his dispute with the civic body.
Reacting to his response, Sood said, “It was a normal meeting. I had plans to meet him for a long time. I met him and took his blessings. He is also doing a wonderful job. He has helped the stranded migrant. Also praised me for doing it. Activists during the COVID-19 lockdown. It was only a general meeting. We didn’t talk about my dispute with BMC during the conversation. “
