  • Conflict of interest is coming to the fore

new Delhi
Two years ago, the BCCI had an annual meeting in which several important decisions were taken in view of the cricket reform. In the meeting, Chetan Sharma was appointed as the chief selector of Team India and other players including Abe Kuruvilla as members of the selection committee. But now there is a dispute about Abe Kuruvilla.

Accusation of conflict of interest
Former Indian fast bowler Kuruvilla has been accused of a conflict of interest. A complaint has been filed against him by Sanjeev Gupta, a former member of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association. Gupta alleged that Kuruvilla’s conflict of interest is due to his two roles, one being the Sports Director of DY Patil Academy as well as the national selector.

FIR registered
Sushil Kumar, president of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), said that I have come to know of a big flaw in the SGFI. I have lodged an FIR against the secretary under sections 420, 468, 471, 120B of IPC. The secretary now wants to escape by holding elections. I will get to the bottom of this.

The position was achieved by beating Agarkar
It is worth mentioning that Agarkar’s name was also appearing for this post, but the name of Abe Kuruvilla was later stamped. According to sources, there was a long debate and brainstorming about the names of these two, but later it was decided in favor of Kuruvilla. He has played 10 Test matches and 25 ODIs for India.
