All-rounder Hardik Pandya practiced bowling heavily at the nets ahead of the five T20 matches series against England which would give India an extra option in bowling in the limited overs format. Hardik shared a video of the practice on his Twitter page. Head coach Ravi Shastri, batting coach Vikram Rathore and captain Virat Kohli were also present.
Hardik has bowled very rarely after having a stress fracture in his waist in 2019. He had to bowl in ODIs (India vs Australia T20 Series) in Australia when he was changing his action.
Former national selector and Test batsman Devang Gandhi saw a change in his action. He said, ‘It seems that his’ jump’ has become smaller, which has changed his action.
Veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan may get a chance in the five T20 matches (India vs England T20I Series) if only one of KL Rahul or Rohit Sharma is injured or Somebody should be given rest.
Dhawan, who scored the most runs after Rahul in the IPL last year, is difficult to find a place in the T20 team after Rohit’s return.
Gandhi believes that Rishabh Pant should bat at number four to have a full chance of playing an aggressive game and Suryakumar Yadav can be fielded at number five.
