The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played in September and former Kolkata Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir feels that this league will change the mood of the people of the country who are facing difficulties due to Kovid-19. The KKR team became the two-time IPL champion under Gautam's captaincy.
Gambhir said on the Star Sports show, “It doesn't matter where it will happen but if the IPL happens in the UAE then it is a good place to play cricket of any format.” With this, which I think is very important, the conduct of IPL will change the mood of the country. '
The former Indian opener said, “It doesn't matter which team will win, which batsman will score the most runs and which bowler will take the most wickets, the league will easily change the mood of the country.” So this IPL is going to be bigger than the rest of the season because I think it is for the country. '
The IPL is likely to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 19 September. The T20 World Cup in Australia due to Covid-19has been postponed until next year and the IPL could be held in the same window.
Regarding the much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) schedule, IPL chairman Brajesh Patel said that the next season would start on September 19 and the final would be played on November 8. The IPL Governing Council will meet next week to finalize and approve the program.
