Google has announced major changes to its Photos app. This new change will disappoint Google Photos users. From 1 June 2021, Google Photos will not support free storage for high-quality (compressed) photos. That is, after June 1, photos and videos backup in the app will be added to the free 15GB storage that comes with Google account.
Explain that Google also offers unlimited storage for compressed but high quality photos. Google says that so far more than 4 trillion photos have been stored in Google Photos. Every week 28 billion new photos and videos are uploaded to the app.

Right now you can backup all your photos and videos on Google Photos and upload them all free till the deadline next year.
