new Delhi: One of the holiest festivals in Sikhism, Guru Nanak Jayanti, is a celebration of the birth of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak. The festival is celebrated all over the world by the Sikh community and the day begins with a 48-hour-long shloka recited from the Guru Granth Sahib in Gurudwaras known as ‘Akhand Path’. Guru Nanak Jayanti or Guruparava, celebrated every year, falls on 30 November this year.
