Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Saturday clarified that he does not fit for the nomination of the prestigious Khel Ratna Award this year. He said that the Punjab government decided to withdraw his nomination for this year's Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award because he did not fit its eligibility criteria.

Harbhajan tweeted, 'I am getting so many calls why the Punjab government withdrew my name from the Khel Ratna nomination. The truth is that I am not eligible for the Khel Ratna. The international performance of the last three years is mainly seen. '
