Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who became the man of the series for his brilliant performance in the T20 series against Australia, said on Tuesday that T Natarajan was the real recipient of the award due to his superb bowling.
Natarajan, a 29-year-old fast bowler from Tamil Nadu, made his debut in international cricket through the third ODI in Canberra. He took eight wickets in four matches.
Pandya tweeted, ‘In this series you performed unmatched Natarajan. Debuting on behalf of India, performing brilliantly in difficult situations shows your talent and hard work. You are my brother, entitled Man of the Series. Congratulations on winning the Indian team.

Natarajan took one wicket for 33 runs in four overs in India’s 12-run defeat in the third T20. India won the series 2–1. Natarajan took three wickets in the first T20 International and two in the second match. He made a brilliant debut with two wickets in the third ODI. India won the match by 13 runs. He was selected in the T20 squad but was later added to the ODI squad as back up Navdeep Saini. Saini was suffering from back pain even before the series started and he had scored a lot of runs in the first two ODIs.
