Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan may be one of the star players in the inaugural Lanka Premier League (LPL) as he is among the 70 foreign players who are interested in participating in the tournament starting on 28 August. Has appeared.
According to an ESPNcricinfo report, 'Pathan will be retained in the player draft until one of the five franchises select him as a marquee player.'

The five franchises will represent Colombo, Kandy, Gaul, Dambulla and Jaffna (5 Teams in Lanka Premier League). '
According to the report, the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) does not allow active Indian players to participate in the foreign T20 League but Pathan has already retired, so he has been approved for it.
Sri Lankan all-rounder Farvej Mahroof offered to include Pathan, who announced his retirement in January this year, in the draft. Maharoof did this after a funny flirting between the two on social media. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board approved the tournament during its executive committee meeting on Monday.
“23 league matches will be played at four international stadiums, R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Rangagiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, Palekal International Cricket Stadium and Suriyaveva Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium,” the board said in a statement. Five teams named, Gaul, Dambulla and Jaffna will take part in the league.
Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh represented Maratha Arabians in the T10 League in Abu Dhabi last year.
