The Indian team practiced with a swinging pink ball at the new Motera Stadium ahead of the day-night Test against England starting on Wednesday and captain Virat Kohli spearheaded this rigorous training session. England won the first Test in Chennai by 227 runs and India made a comeback to win by 317 runs in the second match at the same stadium, leaving the four-match series still 1–1.
The home team wants to gain an edge in the series by registering another win and keeping this in mind, the players of the home team drilled stretching exercises, fielding before practicing on the net at the new Sardar Patel Stadium. The world’s largest cricket stadium has a seating capacity of 1,10,000 spectators. Captain Kohli, vice captain Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant did batting practice while Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj were seen running in the sun and training.
Fast bowler Bumrah did not play in the second match in Chepak and he is ready to return and Ishant Sharma also bowled who are close to his 100th Test.
