England batsman David Malan has left behind Babar Azam and Virat Kohli and has a record. Malan has become the fastest batsman to complete 1000 runs in T20 International. Malan is the number one batsman in the world in this shortest format of cricket.
The England middle-order batsman has made a big record for Shanvir in the fifth and final match of the T20 International series played against India. He has now become the batsman to complete 1000 runs in the lowest matches in T20 International. He has left Babar Azam and Virat Kohli behind. Malan had scored 935 runs in 23 innings before this match and on Saturday, he scored a record of 68 runs in only 24 innings.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam was at the top of the list earlier, having completed 1000 in 26 innings. At the same time, Virat Kohli’s name had completed 1000 runs in 27 innings.
The English batsman completed his 1000 runs by scoring one run in Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s over. He, however, could not take his innings much further and was dismissed for 68 off 46 balls.
His innings, however, did not lead his team to victory and India won the last match to take the series 3–2. The Indian team scored a mammoth score of 224 for 2 wickets with the help of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s half-century and Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya batting on the first batting invitation. After this, the bowlers also showed strength and England stopped 188 for 8 wickets.
Malan was bought by the Punjab Kings team for Rs 1.5 crore in the IPL to be held next month.
