IND vs ENG: Team India took ‘revenge’ in Chennai, beat England by 317 runs
Indian selectors have announced their 17-member squad for the third Test. Fast bowler Shardul Thakur has been released for Vijay Hazare Trophy and now Umesh Yadav will be included in the Indian team in his place. However, Umesh will have to pass a fitness test before that. Umesh will join the Indian team after passing the fitness test.
Umesh, 33, suffered a calf injury on the third day of the second Test against Australia in Melbourne in December last year. Due to injury, he was not included in the team for the first two Tests against England. But if Umesh passes the fitness test, he will get a place in the next two matches against England. Thakur Vijay Hazare will join the Mumbai team for the trophy, which will be their first match with Delhi in Jaipur on 21 February.
