- The 5-match T20 series between India and England is currently tied at 2-2.
- Team India’s captain Virat Kohli has scored 151 runs in this series so far.
- Jason Roy of England has scored 144 runs, which is the second highest in terms of runs.
If the Indian team enters the fifth and final match of the T20 series against England in Ahmedabad, then their eyes will be on the trophy. The host team had landed in this series with the intention of preparing the blueprint for the upcoming T20 World Cup, but today when they enter the final match, their priority will be victory in the series, not the World Cup team. The series is currently tied at 2–2 and as hosts, the Indian team would not like to lose the series under any circumstances.
At the same time, the England team, which is number one in the T20 world rankings, will also try to save their reputation. This fifth and final T20 match of the series is no less than a big final.

India has so far adopted a carefree attitude in the series. Also tried some new faces and succeeded in strengthening the bench. During the series, the team has got trump aces in the form of Ishaan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav. Both of them have provided new options to the team by playing good innings.
Teotia will get a chance!
While Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar made a big impact in their first series, Haryana all-rounder Rahul Tewatia is the only player in the team who has not got a chance to make his debut. Today however, he may get a chance to play his first international match.

Rahul became a weak link
Lokesh Rahul’s form in the top order is a matter of concern for India. He scored one, zero and zero in the first three matches and could not progress beyond 14 runs in the fourth match. It remains to be seen whether the team management gives them a chance in the last match. Another positive aspect of this series for India was Hardik Pandya’s contribution to bowling. However, he could not show that amazing with the bat.
Morgan too fully dressed
England will also be hoping for consistency in the performances of Jose Butler and world number one batsman David Malan. Fast bowlers Joffra Archer and Mark Wood made an impact but did not get enough support from Chris Jordan who took the most runs in the fourth T20. But in the shortest format of cricket, England’s eyes in the battle of kingship have to give their preparation for the World Cup by winning the series. England captain Eoin Morgan said, “We really want to play in these kind of matches where the situation is do or die.” It would be fantastic to play on foreign soil and win the series.
I saw Jofra Archer in the last two or three seasons of the IPL. I watched all his matches and knew what his strategy was for a new batsman. I made my strategy accordingly.
