IND vs ENG: Kamal, Ben Stokes and Lawrence sent pavilion on the fourth day of Ashwin

Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has performed brilliantly so far in the second Test match of the series against England. He took 5 wickets in England’s first innings and scored a century in the second innings. Now in the second innings of England in the fourth day, Ashwin did amazing and Daniel Lawrence and Ben Stokes showed the path of the pavilion.

Ashwin first dismissed Daniel Lawrence to give England their first blow of the day and fourth inning. Daniel Lawrence (26) was dismissed by Ashwin on the very first ball of the 26th over of the innings. He was stumped by Rishabh Pant. Lawrence hit 2 fours and a six in his innings of 53 balls.

After Lawrence was dismissed, Ben Stokes came out to bat to lead the innings with Joe Root but Ashwin did not let him score too much.


All-rounder Ben Stokes (8) was caught by Ashwin at the hands of Virat Kohli and England’s 5th wicket fell at the score of 90. Stokes returned to the pavilion on the final ball of the 38th over of the innings. He faced 51 balls and hit no boundary. It was Ashwin’s second wicket of the day and third wicket of the innings.


Ashwin hit a century
Ashwin scored his fifth century of his Test career in the second innings of this match on Monday for the third day. Ashwin completed the century off 134 balls with fours. He hit a four off the 5th ball of the 82nd over of Moin Ali’s innings and scored a personal score of 103 runs.
