IND vs ENG: This big record, named after Root, made a place in this special club of Don Bradman

England Test team captain Joe Root is in excellent form at the moment. Root’s bat is running hard. Root registered a special achievement in his name on the second day of the first Test match of the 4 match series in Chennai against India vs England.

Playing his 100th Test, Root is scoring 150 runs. This is Root’s third consecutive 150 plus innings in Tests. He has reached number seven in the list of batsmen scoring the most consecutive 150 plus.

ENGvsPAK: England’s strong return on pace bowlers

In this list, Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka is the first number who scored 150 plus four consecutive times in the year 2007. The second number is Willie Hammond (1928–29), who has a record of doing this feat 3 times. The legendary Don Bradman (1937), former Pakistan captain Zaheer Abbas (1982-93), Mudassar Nazar (1983), and New Zealand’s Tom Latham (2018-19) have also achieved this feat 3-3 times.

Under Root’s captaincy, England recently defeated Sri Lanka 2–0 in a two-match Test series. Root had scored 228 runs in the first innings of the first Test against Sri Lanka. Root had scored 186 runs in the second Test of the series.
