Virat Kohli, the captain and star batsman of the Indian team, was seen practicing vigorously before the second Test match of the series in Chennai. Apart from Virat, openers Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane were also seen practicing.
A day before the match, Virat shared some pictures from his Twitter account on Friday, in which he is seen practicing batting and fielding. Virat scored 72 runs in the second innings of the first Test in Chennai, but the hosts had to face defeat by a big margin of 227 runs.
BCCI has also shared some photos, in addition to Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are also seen practicing. Fielding of Team India had been the subject of discussion in the first Test match and the players had also lost some opportunities.
The second Test match of the series between India and England will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. It was at this ground that India lost the first Test match of the series. England scored 538 runs in the first innings with the help of Captain Joe Root’s double century. The Indian bowlers could not do anything special and it is expected that some changes can be made for the second Test in India’s playing-XI.
