Right-arm fast bowler Sean Abbott is out of the Australian team in the first Test match against India at the Adelaide Oval ground. At the same time, all-rounder Moises Henriques has been included in the team. Abbott suffered a calf injury on Saturday in a day-night practice match. That is why he will spend time in Rehab.
Cricket Australia gave this information on Monday. He can join the team before the Boxing Day Test match. Henriques was scheduled to play in the second warm-up match against India but on Wednesday, he was diagnosed with a hamstring injury and was therefore ruled out of the practice match. However, the 33-year-old has cleared the fitness test on Monday and will now join the team in Adelaide.
Henriks has come into the squad in place of an injured Will Pukowski who has been ruled out of the squad due to concussion. David Warner is also not playing in the first Test match. He has been replaced by Marcus Harris in the squad. Pukowski and Warner try to return to the Boxing Day Test starting on 26 December.
