The England cricket team on Tuesday announced their 17-man squad for the third Test match of the ongoing 4-match series against India (England vs England Day Night Test). The visiting team took wicketkeeper Johnny Bairstow and paceman Mark Wood in their squad for the Day-Night Test match played at the new Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad Stadium in Ahmedabad. Jonny Bairstow missed the opening two Tests.
India beat England by 317 runs in the second Test
In the second Test match of the series played in Chennai (India vs England 2nd Test), India bowled England’s second innings for 164 runs after lunch on the fourth day and registered a stunning victory by 317 runs. With this victory, the Indian team also equalized 1–1 in the 4-match series.
Ashwin’s all-round performance
All-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin showed the all-round game in the match and also scored a brilliant century after taking 5 wickets in the first innings. Then he also took 3 wickets in England’s second innings. In this way, Ashwin took a total of 8 wickets in his name.
Anderson, Archer’s return, Moeen Ali out
38-year-old paceman James Anderson and Jofra Archer, who played a key role in the win in the first Test of the series, were recalled in the second Test. Archer was left out of the second Test to be fully fit. All-rounder Moin Ali, who has taken a total of 8 wickets in the second Test, has been excluded.

England started the day at 53 for three and lost four wickets in the first session by adding 63 runs. Captain Joe Root would also return to the pavilion just before lunch but Mohammad Siraj (Mohammed Siraj) took his easy catch off Kuldeep’s ball. Root was then playing for 31 runs.
