The Delhi team came out with a new name and brand last year. The team of Delhi Daredevils became Delhi Capitals. There are many young players in the Delhi team. His team’s batting depends more on the Indian batsmen. This is good for him. Delhi’s team reached the playoffs last year. This time the team will try to cross the halt and they also have the ability to do so.
Strength of Delhi Capitals
Team Delhi Capitals have strong batting. The team has aggressive batsmen like Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and Shimron Hetmyer. Also there are Marcus Stoinis who can score fast runs in the lower order. Talking of bowling, he has experienced spinners in the form of Ravichandran Ashwin and Amit Mishra. Ricky Ponting is the head coach of the team and he is a brilliant strategist.
Although Delhi Capitals have pacers like Ishant Sharma and Mohit Sharma, the team still relies heavily on Kagiso Rabada in this department. Young fast bowlers like Avesh Khan and Tushar Deshpande will have to go ahead and perform.
The team has strong batting which can knock down any bowling attack. She can make any score and score any score. The team has good spinners who can be quite effective on slow and rotating pitches of Dubai. For Rishabh Pant and Ajinkya Rahane, this could be an opportunity to cement their place in the limited overs Indian team.
In the Powerplay and Death Overs, the team has only Kagiso Rabada as the fast bowler who can control the opposition batsmen. The team will need bowlers who can consistently throw good yorkers. Apart from this, he could disturb the batsman with his variety. Apart from this, lower-order batting also appears to be a weak link of the team.
