IPL 2020- Looks great after many practice sessions: Devdutt Padyakkal

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s young batsman Devdutt Padikkal has said that he now feels better by practicing two and a half weeks before the Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB will face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the first match on 21 September.

Padikkal said on RCB’s YouTube channel, ‘It feels good to be back in rhythm. We practiced a lot on the net and now it looks better than before the lockdown.

The Karnataka batsman scored the most runs in Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The 20-year-old batsman has a strike rate of over 175 and averages 64 in 12 matches.

Captain Virat Kohli and coach Mike Hesson are both impressed by him. Regarding the weather here, he said, ‘We are getting in tune with it. We have run. Keep a few sessions and will continue to work on fitness.

South African legend AB de Villiers is working on his wicketkeeping skills in RCB’s training session. It is expected that he can also be seen in the role of opener Devadatta in IPL 2020.

The Bangalore team looks balanced this season. Captain Virat Kohli also says that after this 2016 (when Bangalore team reached the final), the team looked the most balanced.
