IPL tug-of-war: Mumbai is still a favorite at number four, UAE conditions benefit

Get ready… the count down has started. The 14th season of IPL was suspended due to Corona. It was postponed indefinitely on 4 May. Now the date to start it again is near. The second stage is just about to begin. From next Sunday i.e. 19th September, the same adventure will be seen again, which was being missed till now.

30 matches in 27 days
IPL took place even in the midst of the first wave of Corona, then in the 13th season i.e. 2020, it was kept in UAE instead of being done in India. On the same lines, this time again this Gulf country is ready to host. 30 matches, including the final, will be played in 27 days amid a strict bio-bubble. The first of the second stage and the 31st match of the season will be played between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on September 19.

Before IPL, Kieran Pollard’s storm was seen in CPL, such a match-winning innings played in 22 balls, Ali Khan also dominated
Mumbai again favorite

Last season’s champion and five-time record winner Mumbai Indians are being called favorites again. Even though the team is currently at number four in the points table, veterans are saying that Rohit’s platoon will be heavy again in the UAE. If Gautam Gambhir is to be believed, then the atmosphere of UAE suits the bowlers of Mumbai Indians.

Just before the IPL, Evin Lewis of Rajasthan Royals scored a stormy century, took Nevis Patriots to the semi-finals of CPL
Gambhir made a bet

Gambhir, who was a member of two World Cup winning teams, said, ‘They will play in an environment where they do not usually play. The atmosphere in Chepauk and Delhi is completely different from Wankhede. They will play in an environment that suits fast bowling. If there is swing here, fast bowlers can prove to be dangerous. Mumbai wants the ball to swing and they have such quality bowlers, their batsmen also want the ball to hit the bat. Players like Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya struggle in Chepauk.

Irfan Pathan gave a befitting reply to Michael Vaughan, said- If my tooth is broken, should I blame the IPL?
MI needs to win five matches
Gambhir said, ‘They will not fight in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. That’s why I think Mumbai will benefit. He will not start slow as he has seven matches and needs to win five matches to qualify. Mumbai will start their campaign in the second leg of IPL 2021 with a match against three-time champions Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on September 19.
