Odisha FC could not open a winning account in their seventh match of the seventh season of the Indian Super League (ISL) and the team had to play 2–2 draw from Northeast United FC in the match played at GMC Stadium on Tuesday. Northeast have drawn a fifth time in eight matches and the team is fourth in the table with 11 points. On the other hand, Odisha FC have been drawn for the second time in seven matches and the team is at number 10 with double digits.
Diego Mauricio scored the 23rd and Kole Alexander scored in the 67th minute for Odisha. At the same time, for the Northeast team, captain Benjamin Lambot scored in the 45th and Kwesi Appiah scored on the penalty in the 67th minute. The Northeast team, known as the Highlanders, started aggressively and missed opening their account three times in a few minutes.

Then in the 17th minute Dylan Fox of Northeast and Odisha’s Diego Mauricio were shown the yellow card two minutes after that. Mauricio continued to score goals despite this card, in which he was also successful.
Mauricio scored a superb goal from outside the box on Hendry Antony’s assist in the 23rd minute to put Odisha FC ahead 1-0. After this goal, Odisha players were immersed in the celebration when the assistant declared it offside. The players interacted with the referee and it was then called a goal.
