The Income Tax Department (IT) raided several premises owned by Congress MLA Nilay Daga, who led a group of people protesting the shooting of Dhakad, featuring Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut in Sarni area of Madhya Pradesh.

Sources say that several teams of IT department have reached Betul, Satna and Maharashtra simultaneously. IT search dogs raided 15 locations at the same time. Daga is a noted businessman who owns several factories and a school.
Sources in the IT department say that the documents of Daga’s business establishments are being carefully scrutinized. This process may take a few days. Nilay Daga’s father Vinod Daga is also a former Congress MLA.
It may be recalled that due to her anti-farmer statements, the Congress staged a big protest against Kangana Ranaut at Betul’s Sarni where she had come to shoot for Dhakad. The protest was led by Congress MLA Daga.
During the raid, there is a heavy police deployment at Daga Niwas and the mobile phones of family members have been confiscated by IT people.
