West Indies captain Jason Holder is disappointed with the Black Lives Matter movement being ignored in the 13th season of the IPL. Holder is playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season. Holder said this after receiving the Cricket Writers Club Peter Smith Award.
Pakistan and Australia were disappointed with the tour- Holder
Holder said, ‘I was personally disappointed by the visits to Pakistan and Australia, which happened after us. It is a difficult challenge and a long way. It is not a one-night fix. The most important thing is that we come together and see everyone with one eye. ‘ The West Indies had supported the movement on the England tour, but Pakistan and Australia, who had visited England after this, kept a distance from the BLM.
Holder said this
Holder said, ‘To be honest, I have not heard a single thing about it here in IPL. At times it seems that it went unnoticed. Which is a bad thing I think it is our responsibility to bring it back to the discussion. Kovid certainly caught a lot of attention. Cricket West Indies has done a lot for this. The women’s team played the series in England, where they wore the logo of Black Lives Matter and carried it forward. ‘
