If someone asks you to choose the greatest fielders of all time, then you will probably take the first name of Jonty Rhodes. Jonty Rhodes who changed the definition and scale of fielding in the cricket world. A player who could do everything in fielding that no one had imagined before. He lay in the air and fielding. Today (July 27) is Jonty Rhodes' 51st birthday. His full name is Jonathan Neil Rhodes, who was born in the Natal province of South Africa.
When Rhodes made his debut in international cricket against Australia in February 1992, the world was shocked at first when he jumped on the field, started jumping and stopped the ball. Fielding was earlier and was good but it was different. He made his Test debut against India in November 1992. He has been the fielding coach of the IPL team Mumbai Indians.

Jonty has another World Record who took 5 catches in a 1993 match. The match was played against the West Indies in Mumbai. This is a record in cricket history that no one has broken. Rhodes took five catches not as a wicketkeeper but as a fielder.
Also selected for hockey
Rhodes also represented South Africa in hockey. He was selected in the team for the 1992 Olympics but his team could not qualify. He did not participate in the 1996 trials due to injury.
Jonty has played 52 Tests and 245 One Day Internationals in a career. He has 2532 runs in Tests on the basis of 3 centuries, 17 half-centuries. Apart from this, he has scored 5935 runs in ODIs, with 2 centuries and 33 half-centuries.
