Veteran Bollywood actress Neetu Singh, who is making her comeback in films with ‘Jug Jug Jeyo’, has tested positive for COVID-19. The film’s directors Raj Mehta and Varun Dhawan have also tested positive for the virus. According to a report in Filmfare magazine, the shooting of the upcoming film has come to a halt after the actors were diagnosed with the novel Coronauras.
Anil Kapoor, who is also a part of ‘Jug Jug Jio’, has tested negative for COVID-19. The ‘Malang’ star took to social media to crack down on rumors circulating on the internet and informed everyone that his test report was negative. He also thanked his fans for their ‘concern and best wishes’.
According to an entertainment portal report, Neetu Kapoor isolated herself in a separate room in Chandigarh after testing positive for the virus. The ‘Kabhi’ actress is expected to reach Mumbai via air ambulance.
The ETimes report states that Neetu’s son Ranbir Kapoor has made special arrangements for his mother. It is not yet known whether the ‘Brahmastra’ actor went to Chandigarh to bring his mother back.
Neetu, who was last seen in ‘Besharam’, will return to the silver screen with Raj Raj Mehta’s ‘Jug Jug Jeyo’. Last month, the cast and crew started shooting comedy drama in Chandigarh.
Neetu posted a picture from her makeup room to inform fans about her comeback. He expressed his excitement when he returned to the set of a film after many years.
“Back on set after so many years. New beginnings and the magic of films. I feel your love and presence. From Mummy to Kapoor Sahab, Ranbir is always with me. Now I feel myself. ” A bit scared, but I know you are always with me, ”the caption read the post.
‘Jug Jug Jeyo’ stars Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The two Tinsel Town celebs will play the reel-life couple in the flick. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Prajakta Kohli and Manish Paul in lead roles. The makers are yet to announce the release date of the film.
