new Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who plays Rani Laxmibai in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, will once again be seen in a warrior avatar. Yes, you read that right! Queen Panga’s actress arn Manikarnika will be based on the role of Rani Didda in Returns: The Legend of Didda. The makers announced the second installment of the ‘Manikarnika’ franchise on Thursday (14 January).

Kangana will collaborate with Kamal Jain, who produced ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. According to a news agency report, the makers have plans to raise the bar and create a ‘world-class franchise of real-life female heroes’. An IANS report says that the period drama will be made internationally.
The ‘Queen’ star met Kamal Jain last week and locked the script. The cast and crew are expected to begin shooting for the film in January 2022 after Kangana fulfills her other commercial commitments. The Fashion ‘actress shared a post on social media to announce her next film.
For the uninhabited, Didda was the queen of Kashmir who twice defeated Mahmud Ghaznavi in the battlefield. Even though she was affected by polio in her leg as a child, Dida was considered one of the greatest warriors in the country’s history.
On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in ‘Thalaivi’. She will appear in the biographical film as former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. AL Vijay will direct the silver screen in three different languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The much-awaited flick was originally slated to hit the silver screen in 2020; However, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Kangana also has ‘Dhakad’ and ‘Tejas’ in her kitty. Pahadi’s beauty will be seen playing the role of a detective in the action thriller ‘Dhakad’. She will be seen as an Air Force pilot in Ronnie Screwvala’s ‘Tejas’.
