With United goals from Marcus Rashford and Maison Greenwood, Manchester United have consolidated their position in the second place on the table by beating Brighton 2–1 in the English Premier League football tournament. Winning the title of top ranked Manchester City (74 points in 31 matches) is almost certain. This is Manchester United’s 17th win in 30 matches, taking it to 60 points.
Brighton took the lead from Danny Welbeck’s goal in the 13th minute, but Rashford and Greenwood scored two goals in the second half to give Manchester United the win.
In another match, Willock’s goal in the 85th minute saw Newcastle hold Tottenham to a 2–2 draw.
Jolinton opened Newcastle’s account in the 28th minute but Harry Kane scored in the 30th and 34th minutes to give Tottenham a 2–1 lead.
The team, however, lost the edge in the last minutes and were forced to split the points.
