Mashrafe Mortaza Retirement: Hurted by trying to push towards retirement: Mashrafe Mortaza – Bangladesh cricket board forced me to retire says mashrafe mortaza

Dhaka

Former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza, accused of provoking him to retire on the board after a poor performance in one or two tournaments, claimed that he was also offered a farewell match for it. Murtaza said he was hurt by his 'lack of respect' for his achievements. He told 'Cricbuzz', 'To be honest, it looks like I am in a hurry to bid farewell and it is definitely sad.'

He avoided talking about the match, saying, “First he had to organize a farewell match for me and it was not a normal match. A normal bilateral series is something else and arranging a special match is something else. He said, 'After this, they wanted to spend 20 million Bangladesh on this match. From a moral point of view this idea is not correct as our first-class cricketers are not getting paid enough.

The thirty-six year old bowler is one of the most successful captain of Bangladesh. However, his performance in the World Cup (2019) was extremely poor, where he could take just one wicket in the entire tournament. Recently coach Russell Domingo said that he does not see Murtaza in his future plans.

Murtaza said, 'I suddenly started trying to get me out. I only know that I have given my whole life to cricket. I am hurt by this. '
