Micromax In-series smartphones will have MediaTek Helio chipset, details

The Micromax In series will be screened on 3 November. The company is expected to launch two new handsets in this lineup. According to the benchmarking website Geekbench listing, a phone will be named Micromax In 1a. The other phone is named Micromax In 1. Micromax India has now confirmed the chipset of the upcoming smartphones by releasing a teaser.

Earlier in a leaked report, the specifications of the Micromax In 1a smartphone were leaked. The leak revealed the MediaTek Helio G85 processor in the phone. Both these Micromax phones are expected to be launched between Rs 7 thousand and Rs 15 thousand.

The teaser released by Micromax mentions the MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G85 chipsets. This confirms that these processors will be used in In 1a and In 1. Earlier, the same information was also found in leaks. Micromax In 1a can have 6.5 inch HD + display, 5000mAh battery, up to 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage. The 2 GB RAM variant of this phone can have 13 megapixels and 2 megapixel dual camera setup. At the same time, 3 GB RAM will have triple rear cameras with 13 megapixel primary camera.

There is still no clear information about the specifications of Micromax In 1. But it has been confirmed to have MediaTek Helio G85 processor.

Micromax is in the news for its comeback with the In series. The company says that it is following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Self-reliant India’ campaign. The company has used the tagline ‘Chinese cum’ for its launch event invite. Here the company means Chinese smartphone companies. Micromax is continuously targeting Chinese smartphone brands and is going to launch the In series with the ‘Made in India’ image. However, the company is yet to confirm this.
