The third Test between India and England will be played at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad from 24 February. Prior to this match, all-rounder Hardik Pandya posted his picture on this ground in the background. Pandya has written the experience of this stadium as ‘Swapnil’. Motera Stadium in the background looks quite beautiful.
Pandya tweeted, ‘Being in the world’s largest cricket stadium feels like a dream, absolutely fantastic’.
Day-night will be the third Test match of the series to be held in Motera. Both India and England teams reached Chennai on Thursday. The series is still 1–1 and the two teams will face each other with a pink ball in this match. The fourth match of the series will also be played on this ground.
On Wednesday, the BCCI selection committee said that fast bowler Umesh Yadav will join the team in Ahmedabad after the fitness test. Umesh Yadav has been included in the squad in place of Shardul Thakur. Thakur has been released for Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Apart from this, the selection committee did not make any other changes in the team. For the remaining two Tests of the series, the team remained almost the same as it was for the first two matches.
