Xiaomi India has been teasing the new 'Prime' device of its Redmi 9 series for the last about a week. Redmi 9 Prime is going to be included in the company's popular Redmi series in the first week of August. According to Leaks, this budget phone can come in the Indian market with many special features. The company can compete with the rest of the phones in the budget segment with this device.
Redmi 9 Prime will be launched on August 4 at 12 noon in a digital event. Only the name of the new device has been shared by Redmi and the rest of the features have not yet come out officially. If the teasers are being shared on the internet, then this device can be a rebranded model of Redmi 9 launched in Europe. If this happens, powerful features can be found in the phone.

According to the teaser seen on social media, the phone will get a dropnought display with thin bezels. Another teaser seen on Amazon confirmed the phone's USB Type-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. For the first time since 2016, the company is using Prime name in the phone. In 2016, Redmi 3S Prime last came with this name.

Redmi 9 Prime can replace the Redmi 8 launched last year. Redmi 8 is priced at Rs 9,999 and the new model will also come in the budget segment with the same price tag, it is believed. It can get features like 6.5 inch display, 5020mAh battery and 13MP quad camera. Apart from the MediaTek processor, it can be brought in many variants.
