New world class film city with runway to come to Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Chief Minister of Telangana. Chandrasekhar Rao has stated that a new Film City along the airstrip will be established on 1,500 – 2,000 acres on the outskirts of the city.

“The government will acquire 1,500 – 2,000 acres for this purpose. A provision will be made for the airstrip at the proposed Film City. All other basic facilities will be provided, ”said Rao.

Christopher Nolan’s much-awaited thriller ‘Tenit’ is set to release in India in November.

He said that film production companies would be allotted plots to set up studios with state-of-the-art technologies to meet future needs in the new facility.

The CM directed that a delegation of officials and film personalities should visit the Film City in Bulgaria to prepare a proposal for a world-class facility in Hyderabad.

According to Rao, there are ample opportunities in Tech City to further develop and expand the film industry, which is already famous for Ramoji Film City.

“People from different parts of the country and different mother tongues have settled here. The city has the ability to shelter anyone. Great facilities can be made here for film shooting and all other film making activities.

The Chief Minister said that about 10 lakh people are directly and indirectly dependent on the film industry for livelihood in Hyderabad, all of whom were affected by the cancellation of the shooting during the bandh.

He called for the cinema hall to be resumed at the same time as shooting, following coronovirus guidelines.

Film actors Chiranjeevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna meet Rao and tell him that shooting has resumed. He informed them that theaters would reopen soon.
