HMD Global has released a new software update for its Nokia 3.1 smartphone users. A June 2020 Android security patch has been released for the phone with the update. According to the changelog released for the update, this roll out will not provide new features in the phone.
With the latest Nokia 3.1 update, the phone has an OTA update whose software build version is VCPH1819EX_11_C.12. The update size is 111 MB. The new software is based on Android 9 Pie OS and this will increase the security of the device. The smartphone is expected to get Android 10 OS update soon. According to the company's schedule, this roll out could happen next month.

According to the Android Bulletin changelog, several deficiencies have been removed through the June 2020 security update. One of these is to enable the local malicious app by going through the protection of the operating system. Apart from this, an arbitrary code has also been fixed.
HMD Global is rolling out the OTS update in a phased manner. Users can check the update manually by going to the Settings menu.
